The Pusher 3.5" MEGA Intake Manifold Package is the recommended airflow upgrade for 2007.5-2024 Ram 2500/3500 trucks equipped with the 6.7L Cummins. This package combines the Pusher 3.5" MEGA Intake Manifold, CNC-machined Heater Grid Delete, and a single removable heater coil for improved airflow with added cold-start support.

 

The factory intake manifold and heater grid create major restrictions in the intake tract. The Pusher MEGA manifold replaces the restrictive factory manifold with a large 3.5" inlet that smoothly transitions into dual 3" mandrel-bent runners. This twin-tube design nearly doubles the outlet area of the stock manifold while improving airflow into the engine.

 

Unlike some aftermarket intake systems, the Pusher MEGA is designed to work with the factory #1 injector line. No proprietary high-pressure fuel line is required, helping keep future service simple and allowing the use of commonly available OE-style replacement parts.

 

The manifold also uses a short-bolt design in place of the long factory driver-side flange bolt that passes through the center of the stock manifold air plenum. This opens up the airflow path while retaining the factory six-bolt mounting pattern for a proper seal.

 

The included Pusher Heater Grid Delete replaces the restrictive factory heater grid with a precision CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum intake plate. Its pocketed underside and enlarged inlet improve airflow while removing the factory grid from the intake path. The included single removable heater coil provides supplemental intake-air heating support for customers who want the airflow benefit of a heater grid delete while retaining added help for cooler-weather starts.

 

Flow bench testing showed the Pusher 3.5" MEGA Intake Manifold provides a 49.4% increase in airflow over the factory manifold. In additional testing on a SuperFlow SF-750 flow bench, the Pusher manifold with the factory heater grid flowed 396 CFM. Replacing the factory heater grid with the Pusher Heater Grid Delete increased flow to 528 CFM under the same test conditions.

 

Expected benefits may include quicker turbo spool, improved throttle response, reduced intake restriction, lower EGTs, and less overall strain on the engine.

 

 

 

This package is the best default choice for most customers because it combines the airflow gains of the Pusher MEGA Intake Manifold and Heater Grid Delete while retaining supplemental intake-air heating. It is ideal for customers who want to remove the restrictive factory heater grid but do not want a no-heat setup.

 

For colder climates or trucks that regularly see sustained low temperatures, consider upgrading to the dual heater coil configuration.

 

Removing the factory heater grid may affect cold-weather starting. The included single heater coil provides supplemental intake-air heating, but results can vary depending on ambient temperature, battery condition, fuel quality, engine condition, and whether the block heater is used.
