I had a shop install mine, which worked for close to a year but now I’m leaking coolant like crazy not a big fan

Rise in temperature?

Is it just me or has anyone experienced a rise in temperature after installing this piece? Yes before you ask it is installed correctly and I even spliced a tee in line to supple extra coolant the head ( similar to factory design). I’ve burped the system several times and changed thermostat and still seeing temps upwards of 195 versus before it ran about 3-4 degrees cooler. Yeah I know it don’t sound like much but to me it is. Does the fitting need to be upgrade to a larger size to run a bigger coolant hose? I was thinking the fitting could maybe be restricting flow to not allowing enough extra coolant to pass through the head.

Coolant reroute

Everything in the kit is great but the aluminum fitting is a terrible design. Unless you are equipped to machine your riser tube after you cut it then this fitting isn’t gunna fit in the riser tube. I cut my riser tube twice once with a grinder and cutting disc and the second time with a band saw just like the one they used. I used a file both times on the inside and the outside to clean the burrs but to also try and open it up enough to get the fitting in and no luck. I probably used a half a tube of lube on it just to try and help it along which didn’t do anything. Not a huge fan of the design there which sucks because everything else I’ve gotten from pusher has been amazing.

May need additional work

I watched the video available and recommend watchinig it. Then consider the environment they are woking in (complete shop setting) and compare that to your situation. I worked on a 2013 6.7l. Product states fits on 13 thru 18 ram 6.7l. When cutting the tube, pusher video shows useing a band saw. How many of you have that laying around? I used a reciproating saw with a diamond encrusted blade (blade left over after cast iron work). Went through like cutting soft butter. After doing some measurements the tube was round. Now the fun part. The machined part was too big to easily push into place (as shown in the video). I was able to grind out the tube, bevel the tube edge and sand.it smooth. Greased it, it was a very tight fit but it worked. Rest of install a breeze. All that to say, consider tools avalable to you and your mechanical skill (be honest). PS I would have paid an extra $10 for the tube mounting oring. Just saying.

Leaks

Installed this part recently, did not receive an o ring aswell, so far I have to redo this install 4 time due to consistent slow leak. Where the fitting meets the riser pipe. Perhaps not making an aluminum fitting to rest in a steel pipe where cooling temps are different would have made the expansion and contraction period less and thus not causing a leak.

Awesome upgrade!

I purchased this coolant bypass to avoid the leaks I’ve seen when folks delete their 6.7 Cummins. It was fairly simple to install, just follow the directions and YouTube video. Definitely cleans up the engine bay and is less prone to leaking now. Happy I purchased! Don’t regret it a bit!

Coolant riser delete

You guys should supply an o-ring for the bottom base of the riser. I thought everything was good to go. Few hours later coolant on the ground. I’ll have to go hunt for an o-ring of appropriate size and do some of this again tomorrow. Other than that, every was on point.

Coolant bypass assembly.

The video was very helpful just follow it and you should not have any issues. It worked well. I am happy with the results and would recommend the product to others.

Coolant Reroute Worked AMAZING!

It should be said it would be best to install this while doing the delete , due to me having studs in my manifold instead of the factory manifold bolts. It still worked anyway but one of the brackets they sent I couldn’t get on , but anyway it still all came together and it’s not leaking coolant anymore .

A must have with a Steed Speed manifold!!

I purchased this kit when I installed my Steed Speed manifold. It cleans up the manifold and it includes the brackets for the exhaust manifold sensor and trans dipstick. The instructions are great but when I cut the coolant riser tube, the tube was not round. With a vice and some soft jaws, I ensured it was perfectly round. You want to clean up the edge where you make the cut on the ID of the tube. I put a nice taper on the edge of mine with a die grinder. I then polished and deburred the ID of the tube and the hole I punched for the retaining fastener. Deburring the whole you drill is very important because the o-ring must pass it. Lubricant is your friend during assembly. The o-ring is oversized and the fit is tight. You don't want to damage it. I found it helpful to apply pressure to the fitting with the o-ring in it and push the o-ring in with a blunt screwdriver around the tube and somewhat work it in. Mine came out perfect, just like you read about in the instructions.

Little pricey, but worked well

A little expensive for what you get, especially because you have to chop up the stock coolant riser. The kit did work well, instructions were easy to follow. I'd give five stars on this all day long if it came with a hard line to replace the stock coolant riser so I didn't have to cut it up.

I ordered the re-route kit and the wrong fitting for the coolant down pipe was sent in the kit. I called pusher and they immediately corrected the problem for me. They over night shipped the correct fitting, and the customer service was great , I recommend ordering parts from them.
